Since our founding in 1992, LIKHA has been committed to providing youth programming and opportunities for young Filipino Americans in the diaspora. Our latest iteration, LIKHA School of Dance, began in 2009, and since then has provided classes around the Bay Area for young Filipino-Americans to learn about the Philippines and its diverse peoples, practice Filipino folk dance and music, and strengthen community and build friendships.

LIKHA School of Dance has 6 locations around the Bay Area:

• Benicia (Ages 6-15)

• Daly City (Ages 6-10)

• [PAUSED FOR FALL 2026] Marin (Ages 8-12)

• Oakland (Ages 6-12) & Oakland Adults (Ages 15+)

• Tri-City (Ages 6-15)

• [PAUSED FOR FALL 2026] San Jose (Ages 3-5)

Each session runs for 10-weeks culminating in a Spring/Winter recital where students perform alongside LIKHA company members as well as students from our other locations.

​

Please note the enrollment fee for each student. The enrollment fee includes the 10-week session of classes, participation in the recital, costume rental for the recital, and a LIKHA School of Dance T-shirt. Scholarships are also available; please send an email to info@likha.org for more information. Additionally, for college and high school students in our Oakland Adult classes, classes are completely free.
