Philippine folk dance classes
for PCNers, post-PCNers,
college students, & graduates
Interested in continuing your cultural education beyond PCN? LIKHA is holding summer workshops from May 3 to July 26, delving deeper into the many cultures you may have gotten a taste of through PCN. Participants will learn about the traditions and arts of the Tboli people, Spanish-influenced dances, peoples of the Sulu archipelago, and people of the Cordillera.
Workshops will be held on Sundays 2pm to 3pm at the historic Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts (1428 Alice Street, Oakland) in Studio A on the second floor. A schedule of classes is listed below:
May 3 - The Tboli people & other Lumad groups
May 17 - The Tboli people & other Lumad groups, cont'd.
May 24 - Maria Clara, or Spanish-influenced dance & music
June 7 - Maria Clara, or Spanish-influenced dance & music, cont'd.
June 14 - The peoples of the Sulu archipelago
June 28 - The peoples of the Sulu archipelago, cont'd.
July 19 - The peoples of the Cordillera
July 26 - The peoples of the Cordillera, cont'd.
