This Spring, we're excited to be teaching a free

10-week beginner Philippine folk dance class

for ages 15 & older at our Oakland studio!

Classes will be held on Sundays from 9AM to 9:45AM in Studio A on the third floor of the Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts, 1428 Alice Street, Oakland, CA.

​

Students will learn the basics of Philippine folk dance and music, learn about indigenous Philippine cultures and cultural practices, and get to interact with indigenous garments and instruments.

​

Classes will begin on Sunday, February 23rd and conclude on June 1st, with certain Sundays off for holiday. At the end of the session, students will also have the opportunity to perform as part of our Spring Recital on June 8th at the HUSD Performing Arts Center, 2390 Panama St., Hayward, CA.

 

If you would like to perform as part of the Recital on June 8th, you must attend an additional mandatory dress rehearsal on Saturday May 18th at 9AM at Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts.
